(( a little tale of what happened after Kerrig was summoned by Garrosh. First part, told from Kerrig's unique perspective))
Kerrig rose from his bed slowly. He felt each crack and ache of his joints as he made his way to the wash basin. He splashed some water on his face, and saw more grey hair in the mirror. “Bah, and I used to laugh at Yagrek’s grey hair, now look at me. I hope you are having a good laugh at this wherever you are, old friend.” Kerrig sighed. He missed his old comrade. He missed many old comrades. “Dangers of surviving.” , he thought.
Before he could get too maudlin, there was a loud knock at his door. He turned and walked to the door while the knocking got louder. “Wake up, old man!! And get out here!”. Kerrig opened the door. There was a Kor’Kron guard unit, and their young squad leader was the the one knocking.
Kerrig felt his anger rising, but stayed calm. “And what do I owe the pleasure of your visit, Squad Leader?”
“You are summoned to meet with General Nazgrim and the Warchief!”
Kerrig’s eyes gleamed. “yes, I think this pup may need a lesson”, he thought, then smiled. “Oh, Thrall is back?” , he said , and waited for the response he knew was coming. “It’s Hellscream, you old fool! Why do they need such a fossil like you ?!!”
Kerrig viscously headbutted the Squad Leader. the Squad Leader went down in a heap, unconscious. “nasty slip and fall, eh Sergeant? Much like that night elf in Alterac.”
The Sergeant grinned, “Aye Warlord, it was good times. The lads here like those tales.” Kerrig turned and saw that the squad was laughing at their fallen Leader. “It is good to laugh, but still have his back in battle lads.” The Sergeant roared out “All right , pick him up already, and back to the barracks.”
Kerrig turned around and headed to Hellscream’s centre. “Time to see what the young hothead wants.” , he thought to himself.
