Grokus heard her come up from behind him through the bustle of the bank crowd, it had been a long day and his was ready to get to his prayers. “Grokus, we need to talk, and I am not taking ‘NO’ for an answer.” Janka said
“Just like her” Grokus thought to himself. “If it’s the answer I give, what choice do YOU have?” he said aloud, smirking to himself.
“Stop being such an ass” Janka snapped back
“Talk than” Quickly looking about the back, to see not only Janka, but Kerrig and Salthair doing their banking…”Wait..” adding quickly “Better yet, we shall find a place more private” Grokus then followed Janka out of the bank and called for his word. “Lead on” He added half-heartedly. They rode fast and hard through the drag to the valley of honor, taking a left by the pond, “This place?!?!” Grokus again thought to himself, sighing at Janka to show his opinion of the spot. The last time he had spoken with her here, Grokus had narrowly walked away from killing Rob. “Of course…THIS place” Grokus said, finally verbalizing his misgivings.
“Why not this place?” Janka said, Grokus could not tell weather she was trying to provoke him, or she forgot such a thing so quickly.
“Other things…Never mind, Carry on with what you wish to say” he said, wishing to leave this place without talk of Rob.
Taking no time to ask it softly, Janka opened with “What the hell is going on with you and Zura? What do you mean pulling away from you?”
“She is distant” Grokus said condescendingly, “almost non-existent when I am around”… “I fear to kiss her, to have her shun me…that would…would…feel unpleasant” He than looked to the ground and sighed.
“Have you talked to her about it?” Janka asked, concerned
“I am sure she cares!” Grokus thought “Oh yes!” Grokus says, thick with sarcasm “That is why I bring it up while we kill, because it IS ALL worked out”
“Sometimes relationships have unpleasant things happen. Are you just going to ignore them? Or are you going to deal with them” Janka said, trying her hardest to ignore his tone
Grokus takes his time drinking in his anger and what Janka has said “I shall speak with her when I can get her alone. I suppose” He then trails off and mumbles “This is ALL you’re FAULT” under his breath
“Don’t grumble” Janka snaps, annoyed with his moping
“Do not speak to me as if I am a child, I have things to say to myself and my god” Trying to hide what he had said, instant not meaning it.
Janka laughs in half mockery of the comment, and adds “I’m not speaking to you as a child Grokus. If that’s how you took it then that’s something you have to deal with and maybe you should ask yourself why?”
“Perhaps because most times we speak you tell me things I SHOULD do, like a mother hen” Grokus said, adding “Cluck, cluck, cluck” to worsen the blow
“What have I said that you SHOULD do?” Janka said, again ignoring his petulance
“You need a list?” Grokus asked, half seriously
“Yes” Janka answered.
Taking no time to think, he said the first two things that came to mind “You SHOULD loosen up, you SHOULD find a woman” Grokus said “They both panned out sooooooooo well” he again added, to mock Janka.
“That’s it? You find offence at those two things?” Janka asked, honestly dumbfounded that he blamed her for this mess “If you’re having problems with Zura…don’t try to pass the blame to someone else! Take responsibility for you own damn actions or lack thereof. You’ve been wallowing in self pity for how long now? Don’t deny it! I’ve seen you mopping around.”
Who was he going to deny it to? He was long passed denying it to himself; the very sight of his face in ponds of his home told him that everyone saw it. “Yes, asking her to wed, fawning over her like some half aged Orc, those actions do not speak loudly enough?” Grokus then scoffed to show his outrage.
Thinking on all that had be said, he bellowed, “Be done with her than, if the thought of me as a husband is so repulsive as to stop looking in me with her kind eyes, Than I…DO NOT…Need her! “ as if by saying it as loud as he could, it would somehow make it true.
Janka finally fed up with Grokus’ self pity yelled “Well something has changed! And instead of finding out what…you’re wallowing in self pity “Oh she’s grown distant, If I kiss her and she rejects me it’ll feel unpleasant” Grow some BALLS, Grokus”
Outraged that Janka, his friend, would speak to him like that, Grokus starts to breathe loudly, the feeling he only got in battle, he knew what would happen if he stayed to listen to more “I wish not to be around you right now” He said, while trying not to look at Janka. “I may do something I regret” Grokus than mounted and pointed his worg in the direction of Orgrimmar gates.
Seeing this all too often, and knowing before he mounted what was going to happen Janka yelled “Don’t RUN OFF!” …Like you always do!” Instantly changing her attitude, sick of his child like nature, Janka screamed “FINE! GO AHEAD! DO IT!”
Fed up with what he saw as Janka taunting him, he added “I will speak to her, be gone woman.” Adding extra emphasis on ‘woman’ to make the word it self sound like an insult. Grokus then raced towards the gates of Orgrimmar, watching as Janka followed him. He threw on his mithril spurs, mid gallop, to quicken the worg’s pace to the red sands of Durotar; He then jumped from his worg before it had stopped running and stepped into the shadows, leaving Janka angry on her mount.
Seething with anger at how he had dismissed her, Janka yelled “Don’t you ever dismiss me like that Grokus…EVER!” she then rode back into Orgrimmar.
“Just like her” Grokus thought to himself. “If it’s the answer I give, what choice do YOU have?” he said aloud, smirking to himself.
